Kašperk Castle

This king decided to found a castle above the Reichenstein (Rejštejn) gold mines a year after his solemn crowning travel to Rome, where he was finally, after waiting ten years, crowned Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire and took also his official name Charles IV (on the Roman throne). Historians learned from historical records that the name of the master-builder (magister fabricae) of the castle was Vít Hedvábný.
